Although this is an older building with older room, it does have some upgrades like flooring instead of carpet tile in the showers with new sinks and toilets. Definitely like the fact that there was a refrigerator inside. The staff is friendly and very accommodating.

We have stayed at the Orange Tree in for many years, but it was closed for a while during Covid. Now that it's back open, we booked an overnight there again to hang out in Santa Barbara. We like that you can book just one night and not have to stay 2 or more for a hotel room. It's also close enough to the "happening" part of State Street that you can walk there, but far enough away so that it's usually quiet. It's also near to Garrett's which is a breakfast spot that we also go to every year that we visit Santa Barbara. They also have a pool and it looks like they updated their patio furniture. Unfortunately, I didn't have to time to take a dip this time around.
